Plummer Block Housings BIS Certification

A plummer block housing is the cast pedestal that turns a bare bearing into a complete, bolt-down shaft support. The classic split design - a base and a cap bolted together - lets maintenance crews drop a shaft with its bearing straight into place, set the seals, and torque the cap down. Inside usually sits a self-aligning ball or spherical roller bearing on an adapter sleeve, so the unit forgives shaft misalignment and deflection that would destroy a rigid mount.
