BIS Certification for Self-Aligning Roller Bearings IS 6454:1972

Self-aligning roller bearings (also called spherical roller bearings) use two rows of barrel-shaped rollers that run on a common spherical raceway in the outer ring. This clever geometry lets the inner ring, rollers, and cage swivel freely inside the outer ring - so the bearing automatically compensates for shaft misalignment, deflection, and mounting errors that would destroy a rigid bearing.
